Presentation Description:

This session reviews the assessment and planning strategies used by International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) offices. This session will review stakeholder deliverables, data collection, and the use of annual goal setting and reporting as a tool for developing a strategic plan for an ISSS office.

Learning Objectives:

  • After the presentation, attendees will be able to articulate common assessment deliverables ISSS offices create for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Following the presentation, attendees will be familiar with common ISSS data points and the mapping of those data points to actionable goals that further campus internationalization.
  • Upon completion, attendees will have been introduced to the process of mapping data-driven goals to long-term strategic planning: including budgeting, position creation, and opportunity-cost assessment.
