Promising Practices for International Education Week

Presentation Description:

International Education Week (IEW) is endorsed by Departments of State, Education, and Commerce to foster international relations and sustain economic markets.  IEW is celebrated in November by educational institutions, embassies, agencies, and businesses to promote cross-cultural understanding that demonstrates support for diversity, equity, and inclusion measures.  The discussion allows an opportunity for the sharing of promising practices to celebrate IEW.  The session aspires to generate new ideas for conducting events to support international education. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate a stronger understanding for the importance of celebrating International Education Week. Discuss and seek creative collaborations to resolve budget constraints and other challenges to host International Education Week.
  • Offer a toolkit of promising practices to promote and enhance existing events and activities on respective campuses.
  • Conduct more promising practices for International Education Week to sustain outcomes for strengthening partnership and relationship building on campus and in the community.
