Presentation Description: The Christian SIG Open Meeting will provide a network of support for Christians working with international students, scholars, study abroad programs and community programs to promote effective and ethical professional services as international educators.
Learning Objectives:
To appeal to and meet the special professional needs of Christian international educators, who work in a variety of institutions and organizations, including small Christian higher education institutions, and for community organizations that work with international students and scholars.
To raise awareness of the special needs of Christian international students who come from countries where the practice of Christianity may differ from the experience on the campuses of American higher education institutions and also for those domestic Christian students who will be participating in study abroad opportunities where the religious landscape and culture are much different from their own experience here in America.
To provide a networking opportunity for Christian international educators and professionals.
