In this presentation, the Region 7 Academy cohort will act as a panel and lead an interactive discussion around:

  • The benefits of being involved in the academy (as a coach or trainee)
  • The tangible deliverables we have been able to bring back to our offices and campuses
  • The power of mentorship and professional development
  • The correlation between a well-rounded International Education professional and positive outcomes
  • Networking

    Learning Objectives:

    • Articulate the benefits of involvement in the NAFSA Academy for professional growth and departmental development.
    • Identify key skills and knowledge needed for advancement in International Education, including advocacy, internationalization, and other specific skills.
    • Explain why mentorship and professional development is important within International Education.
