Jenifer Ruby began her career in international education over 25 years ago teaching English in Japan with the Japan Exchange & Teaching Program. After returning from Japan, she began working in international student advising in New York City where she worked for 10 years. In 2006, Jenifer joined the Rollins College community where she serves as the Director of International Student & Scholar Services. Jenifer continues to be inspired by her work with the Rollins' international student population making their experience in the U.S. a successful one.
Jenifer has a great passion for Japanese culture and literature. Her academic area of interest is East Asian Studies, in which she has earned a Master of Arts degree from St. Johns University. Jenifer is committed to serving her profession through volunteer leadership. She previously served as the Chair of the Florida Association of International Educators and NAFSA Florida State Representative. Jenifer currently serves as the Past Chair for the NAFSA KC-ISSS and is an active Trainer Corps member.
