Renate Kwon (MIA)—Communications Coordinator, Duke University

At Duke's Asian/Pacific Studies Institute (APSI), Renate manages websites, newsletters, publications, and social media for APSI and its related initiatives, including writing and developing content. She supports conferences, events, and grants to advance interdisciplinary research.

Previously, she was program manager for the Southeast Asia Research Group (SEAREG). After working for Kaplan as an international student advisor in NY, she transitioned to higher education at UC San Diego where she earned a master’s degree in Pacific International Affairs (international politics, Korea). She is proficient in German with intermediate Korean and has studied Japanese and French.
