Faculty Development for Internationalizing the Curriculum: Approaches and Considerations

Presentation Description: Building bridges includes ways to build dynamic interchanges between faculty and students about global learning, global economy and DEI.  How do institutions get to this point of encouraging faculty to revise courses to meet these needs. This session will focus on how faculty development programs are created and implemented to ensure global learning is achieved for ALL students, not just those studying abroad.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to identify different institutional approaches to faculty development.
  • Participants will be able to understand different choices regarding implementation that faculty development programs must make to ensure the program's viability.
  • Participants will understand the role Global Learning plays in creating a faculty development program.
