Session
International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)
Many international students travel to the U.S. for education; however, some find a clash in cultural ideologies. This can lead to difficulties adjusting and/or self-isolation. It’s essential to recognize that culture plays a crucial role in shaping our beliefs, behaviors, and perceptions of mental health and well-being. This session will explore the impact of cultural differences on international students' mental health.
Our presenters will discuss strategies for recognizing students who may be struggling and offer practical guidance on how to support them effectively.
